Hailing from the sunny shores of Scotland, allround culture jammer Barrett, has travelled far and wide in search of a better tommorow.
Leaving no stone unturned, Barrett’s art, design, ideas and teaching have been acquired by many. He began by working on various garage projects for Scottish skateboard companies and on miscellaneous street advertising.
Projects have included Harpers Bazaar, General Pants, Peats Ridge music festival, MTV, Apple, Billy Blue and so on. After teaching typography at Billy Blue Design School in Sydney has since shared his dreams with others to become Co founder and Partner of The National Grid :: Design Distillery :: A Graphic Design Firm and Art Gallery based in Brookvale Sydney, who work on a diverse collection of projects from installations, magazines, music festivals to branding.
Barretts’ influences lie in popular art, street art, subculture and the behavior of others.
Switching between hand drawing, painting, printmaking and computers keeping him busy by day and by night.
Barretts’ latest venture is ‘Printship’ a fine art screenprinting service aimed at artists who want to produce limited runs of their works
